At first glance, it looks like a sophisticated luxury sedan.
Beautiful blue paint. Leather interior. Panoramic roof. Tasteful styling.
Very mature.
Very responsible.
Then you start the 3.3L TWIN-TURBO V6 and realize somebody at Genesis had absolutely no intention of behaving themselves.
Welcome to the 2023 Genesis G70 3.3T AWD Sport Prestige.
This is what happens when somebody takes a comfortable luxury sedan and starts checking boxes they probably shouldn't.
Twin turbos? Yep.
AWD? Yep.
Brembo brakes? Yep.
Electronically controlled suspension? Yep.
Limited-slip differential? Yep.
Variable exhaust?
Ohhhh yes.
Genesis basically built a luxury sedan and then handed the engineering department an energy drink.
And the inside is just as ridiculous.
You've got heated AND ventilated leather seats, Head-Up Display, navigation, Surround View Monitor, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and a 15-speaker Lexicon premium sound system with dual subwoofers.
Translation:
You can make questionable acceleration decisions while your backside is climate controlled and your favorite song sounds phenomenal.
That's called luxury.
And with AWD, this isn't some fair-weather toy that needs to hibernate the second Massachusetts sees a snowflake.
It's ready for Route 3 in July.
It's ready for Route 3 in January.
It's ready for that guy doing 61 MPH in the left lane.
