Let’s start by reviewing indicator lights. These are blue or green and let you know when different systems or features are active. Some of them include:

• Cruise: This means Intelligent Cruise Control is active. 
• ECO and SPORT mode indicators: These lights will illuminate when ECO or SPORT mode is in use. 
• Fuel light: This will turn on when you’re low on fuel or the fuel cap is missing. If this light is on and you have fuel and the cap, it could present a different problem that requires professional attention. 
• Slip light: If you’re sliding around due to a slippery road, the Vehicle Dynamic Control system will activate, and a corresponding light will inform you that it’s in use. 
• Overdrive off: If your car’s overdrive feature is off, it’ll show on the dashboard as O/D OFF. 

When one or more of the indicator lights are on, it usually means there are no issues. However, if you have questions about any of them, consult one of our Nissan technicians.

These lights are red or orange and usually means something needs your attention ASAP. 

• ABS System: What does ABS mean on your dashboard? If you see “ABS” appear, there is an issue with your anti-lock braking system. 
• Battery light: Your electrical system may have an issue, including a failing battery. We recommend inspecting your battery for damage and corrosion buildup. If you find corrosion, take a dry substance and wipe it away. 
• Low tire pressure: This light indicates one or more of your tires are low on air. Low air can result in a flat tire and low fuel economy if not properly addressed. 
• Power steering warning: If you see “PS” on your dashboard, it may signal an issue with your power steering system. 
• Intelligent Key warning: If the Intelligent Key has been removed while the car is still running, a light that says “KEY” will appear.
