Nissan Rogue Trim Levels Review

Getting behind the wheel of a Nissan Rogue can be an exceptionally exciting move. At Nissan 24, not only do we understand that level of excitement, but we have an eye on your options. That's why we've written this guide to the different trim levels of the Rogue, for our customers in Brockton, Randolph, and Stoughton, MA, to get a better idea of what to expect.

Nissan Rogue S

This base trim-the Nissan Rogue S-is what the rest of the line is going to be based on. For the most part, the engine configuration set forth here remains the same for the next few trims. It comes equipped with a 1.5L DOHC Variable Compression Turbo 3-cylinder engine that's paired with an Xtronic CVT^® (Continuously Variable Transmission) with Manual Mode. Eco and Sport modes are also included in this kit. This engine generates 201 horsepower and 225 lb.-ft of torque.

With this trim, you'll have access to several driver-assistive technologies with standard Safety Shield^® 360, including:

• Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
• Blind Spot Warning
• Rear Cross Traffic Alert
• Rear Automatic Braking
• Lane Departure Warning
• High Beam Assist

We move now to the comfort and conveniences of the interior. Air conditioning is the first and most welcome feature, followed by an in-cabin microfilter, rear passenger vents, rear door alert, and power windows with driver's one-touch auto-up/down feature. In addition to those features, you'll also have:

• Power door locks with auto-locking feature
• Remote keyless entry with Push Button Ignition
• Tilt and telescoping steering column
• Variable intermittent flat-blade windshield wipers
• Overhead LED map lights

While there are a few other features, these are the most important for the modern driver looking for comfort.

With the NissanConnect^® 8-inch color touchscreen display, you enter the world of infotainment services. Voice recognition is standard on this base level, as is Apple CarPlay^® and Android Auto™ integration, allowing for a universal approach to smartphone connectivity. Thanks to the inclusion of Bluetooth^® hands-free phone system, you'll get access to the hands-free text messaging assistant. You'll also experience speed-sensitive volume control, SiriusXM^® Radio with a 3-month subscription, and finally, streaming audio via Bluetooth^®.

The Nissan Rogue's safety features are also robust and expansive across the trims. For example, the Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with strategically placed bags to keep you and your passengers safe at all times. There is also the LATCH System (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children), which protects your little ones in the event of a collision.

Nissan Rogue SL

Diving right into the driver-assistive suite in the SL trim, we see that ProPILOT Assist remains a standard feature, which can help you manage the speed and distance of your Rouge from other vehicles. It can also help you remain centered in your lane.

A highlight of this trim is the Intelligent Around View^® Monitor. Utilizing four available cameras, a virtual composite 360 view from above is displayed to you, giving you an advantage in seeing what's around your Rouge in a new way. You can then select split-screen close-ups of the front, rear, and curbside views, which will help you make difficult parking a thing of the past.

Introduced at this level as standard features are both the Nissan Intelligent Key^® with Push Button Ignition and 4-door request switch and Remote Engine Start System with Intelligent Climate Control.

Comfort and Convenience at this trim brings us the Tri-Zone Automatic Temperature Control as standard. Auto-dimming inside rearview mirrors and outside mirrors with reverse tilt-down feature are both standard features. Finally, the Divide-N-Hide^® Cargo System is introduced here, making room for even more storage while on the go.
