What’s Changing in the 2018 Nissan Rogue?
When you hear that a new model is coming out, the first thing you’re probably wondering is what’s going to change. And in the case of the 2018 Nissan Rogue, not too much.
2017 saw some pretty major changes for the Nissan Rogue. Not only did it come with a big redesign and noticeable face-lift, creating a far more modern look for the SUV, but it also came with the addition of the Nissan Rogue Sport.
In 2018, many of those great attributes that were added last year are expected to carry over. Ultimately, you shouldn’t see too many changes. Here’s what to look for in a few major categories.
When it comes to the interior, all that may be expected to change is a slight reconfiguration of the entertainment cluster. While the features should mostly remain the same, buttons and knobs may receive a redesign and repositioning to allow for more ergonomic function.
You can expect that your favorite features will carry over, such as the rearview camera, 5-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth®, and 4-speaker audio system.
Rogue performance was better than ever last year, and that’s expected to stay the same in 2018. While a hybrid powertrain will be available, the 2.5L 4-cylinder and continuously variable transmission should remain the standard, allowing the Rogue to generate around 170 HP and 175 lb-ft of torque.
In 2017, the Nissan Rogue earned a TOP SAFETY PICK+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. To nab this commendation once again, the 2018 Nissan Rogue should maintain the same safety array. While you may not see any flashy new features, you’ll at least know that you’re protected.
