2017 Nissan Altima Review
When Brockton, Randolph, and Stoughton drivers want a used sedan that’s as big on fuel economy as it is on safety and comfort, there’s no better choice than the Altima. And in this 2017 Nissan Altima review, our team at Nissan 24 is going to show you exactly why.
Nissan Altima: Safety Is Key
If you’re wondering just how serious Nissan takes safety, you need only look at its accolades. The 2017 Nissan Altima has received two highly prestigious commendations.
Not only has it been awarded a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it’s earned a 2017 TOP SAFETY PICK+from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, too.
These awards are in large part due to the Zone Body construction that makes the Altima so durable. With numerous reinforcements, including pipe-style steel side-door guard beams and hood buckling creases with safety stops, the Altima can stand up to almost any impact.
Several protective technologies have been equipped as well, including Vehicle Dynamics Control and the Traction Control system. Both help your sedan stay on course, even when the roads are rough.
Nissan Altima Interior
From top to bottom, the Nissan Altima is one comfortable vehicle. That’s because, above all else, it’s spacious. Occupants will have a total of 101.9 cubic feet at their disposal, as well as 15.4 cubic feet of cargo space. As for drivers, they’ll have 40 inches of headroom and a whopping 45 inches of legroom. Now, that’s comfortable!
Getting into and starting your car will be a breeze, thanks to convenient features such as remote keyless entry and push-button start. With just the touch of a button, you can rev your engine.
You’ll also have a sizeable entertainment suite, starting with the 4-speaker audio system. If you’re looking to crank up the tunes, connect your mobile devices using either the USB port or auxiliary jack. You can even make hands-free phone calls using Bluetooth®!

Reliable Nissan Performance
Performance is just as important (if not more) than facets like comfort and safety. And in the 2017 Altima powertrain, efficiency takes center stage. With the 2.5L 4-cylinder equipped in the sedan, drivers will maintain 39 highway MPG and 27 city MPG.1
This is achieved thanks to all the enhancements that have been added to the Altima. In addition to installing variable induction, the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control system has been added, simplifying intake and exhaust to boost efficiency and power.
With all these added features, it’s not surprising that the Altima is able to generate 179 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.
Efficiency and power! What more could you ask for in a car?
