2013 Nissan Xterra Review
The 2013 four-door Nissan Xterra is a sturdy, rugged and is a very capable SUV that is designed for everyday use and for off-road weekend adventures. The Xterra offers plenty of cargo and trunk space and has a roomy and comfortable interior.
The five-passenger Nissan Xterra is available in three trim models, which are X, S and Pro 4X. Each model is equipped with a powerful 4.0 liter V6 engine that churns out 261 horsepower and 281 pound feet of torque. Nissan offers the Xterra X and S models in either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The Pro-4X is available in four-wheel drive only.
Depending on the model, Nissan offers a choice between an automatic six-speed transmission and a manual six-speed transmission.
The X model of the Xterra comes outfitted with many standard features such as 16-inch steel wheels, a roof rack, keyless entry, cloth upholstery, privacy glass in the rear and air-conditioning. Other great standard features include cruise control, a CD stereo, power windows, locks and mirrors, and a tilt-steering wheel. The S model adds 16-inch alloy wheels, off-road tires, a roof rack with crossbars and an adjustable height and lumbar driver seat. The Pro-4X model comes equipped with several off-road features such as hill-start assist, upgraded off-road tires, foglights and off-road lights mounted on the roof. Other amenities include Bluetooth connectivity, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, satellite radio, leather upholstery and much more.
The Nissan Xterra is a very safe vehicle that comes equipped with several safety features like anti-lock disc brakes, various front, side and overhead airbags, stability and traction control and tire pressure monitoring.
The cabin of the Xterra is pleasantly styled. In addition, it is highly functional, and the controls and gauges are easy to reach and operate. The comfortable makes for a smooth ride.
