The 2013 Nissan Frontier is a mid-size pickup that is perfect for work, shopping and for off-road fun. It is a versatile and practical four-passenger vehicle that is well-equipped, strong and safe.
The Nissan is offered in five trim levels, which are S, SV-14, SV, PRO-4X and the luxurious model. The S model has cloth upholstery, air-conditioning, a CD player, 15-inch steel wheels and bucket seats in the front. Nissan did not hold back on the standard features on the other models. The SV trim comes loaded with 16-inch wheels, a sliding rear window, upgraded tires, keyless entry, and upgraded cloth upholstery, a tilt steering wheel, cruise control and full power accessories.
Available options for the SV model include 18-inch wheels, foglamps, upgraded upholstery, auto dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth and steering wheel mounted audio controls. The PRO-4X Frontier model features 16-inch alloy wheels, a trip computer, two-toned upholstery, off-road tires and off-road shocks. The PRO-4X also comes equipped with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a premium audio system. Upgrade options include leather upholstery, a sunroof, heated mirrors, a roof rack, cross bars and heated front seats.
Every model of the 2013 Nissan Frontier comes with several standard safety features such as curtain and impact airbags, stability control and anti-lock disc brakes. Upgrade safety options on various models include hill assist and hill start.
Nissan offers a choice of two engines for the 2013 Frontier. The S and SV models are outfitted with a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine that produces 152 horsepower and 171 pound feet of torque. Rear wheel drive and a five-speed manual transmission are also standard. An automatic five-speed transmission is offered as an upgrade option. A 4.0 liter V6 engine that generates 261 horsepower and 281 pound feet of torque is available for the SV and PRO-4X models.
The interior of the Frontier is roomy, and the seating is comfortable. The gauges and controls are easy to read and operate. Plus, the 60/40 split folding rear bench, under seat storage tray, and the spacious trunk offers sufficient cargo space.
