2013 Nissan Cube Review
2013 Nissan Cube Reviewed
The latest model of the five-passenger compact four-door Nissan Cube is modern, edgy, distinctly stylish, quiet, roomy and well-equipped. It is offered in two trim levels, which are the S and SL and is powered by a 1.8 four-cylinder engine that generates 122 horsepower and 127 feet of torque. A manual six-speed transmission comes standard. A CVT or continuously variable automatic transmission is available as an option on the SL model.
The Cube is also pretty fuel-efficient. It is estimated to get 27 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway. The combined total is around 28 miles per gallon.
The Cube has many attractive standard features like 15-inch steel wheels, power windows, cloth upholstery, a sliding 60/40 split rear seat, air-conditioning, six airbags, a CD player, touchscreen navigation, a tilt steering wheel, cruise control, a leather wrapped steering wheel, a USB interface and a trip computer. The SL model features 16-inch alloy wheels, plush cloth upholstery, Bluetooth, remote start, keyless entry and automatic headlights. Upgrade options include foglamps, satellite radio and an upgraded navigation system.
The interior of the Cube is very comfortable and has plenty of leg, hip, shoulder and leg room for the driver and passengers. One of the most unique interior features is the mood lighting that is available in twenty different colors. The most unique interior feature of the Cube are the speaker grilles that imitate the ripple sound of a small stone being dropped into water. The gauges and controls are very simple and easy to operate. There is also a fair amount of cargo space inside the latest model of the Cube.
Nisan made certain the Cube was safe and loaded it with many standard safety features such as anti-lock disc brakes, a variety of airbags, active front head restraints and stability and traction control. In various highway safety crash tests, the Cube received top scores.
The 2013 Nissan Cube is perhaps the most unique looking vehicle on the road today. It is well-equipped, safe and has a fun and quirky style all its own. In short, there is no other vehicle like it on the road today.
