Nissan NV Cargo vs Ford Transit Van

If your business is constantly on the move, then you would benefit from the utility of a cargo van. More than just a vehicle that helps you and your supplies get around from customer to customer in Brockton, Randolph, and Stoughton, vehicles like the 2019 Nissan NV Cargo and the 2019 Ford Transit will be mobile offices to help you get the job done.

Which model is the one you need for your workday? Our team here at Nissan 24 is here to help answer that question. See our comparison below of the Nissan NV Cargo vs. Ford Transit Van to find out!

Configuring Your Cargo Van

These commercial vehicles come in multiple configurations to accommodate the size and space you need for your van. You can get a smaller roof if you’ll need to fit this van in a garage or under covered parking. There are also higher roof options for both models that will not only give you more cargo space, but also more room to stand and comfortably work out of the back of your van.

Since these two cargo vans are built to supply you with a tremendous amount of cargo space, we wanted to look more closely at the 2019 NV Cargo and the 2019 Transit to see what separates these two models.

Pull Along More Equipment

Beyond having plenty of room inside the van for all your tools and supplies, you can also tow larger equipment with either of these vans. The 2019 Nissan NV Cargo is supplied with a great deal of power, whether it’s equipped with the standard 4.0L V6 engine that generates 281 lb-ft of torque or powered by the available 375 horsepower 5.6L V8 engine.

The 2019 Ford Transit comes standard with a 3.7L V6 engine that delivers 260 lb-ft of torque. At its best, it can only output 310 horsepower when equipped with the available 3.5L EcoBoost® V6 engine. Because of this, the Ford Transit Cargo Van can only tow up to 7,500 pounds. The Nissan NV Cargo has a towing capacity that surpasses the Ford Transit. You can hitch up to 9,400 pounds with the 2019 NV Cargo.*

Staying Organized

With either van, you’ll be able to organize the cargo space in the back however you’d like. Both models will give you the ability to install shelving and racks, so you know exactly where all your tools and supplies are. As a business, you also will have to keep track of various files. In the 2019 Nissan NV Cargo, you can add additional storage space to make your van an office on wheels.

There’s an available multi-functional lockable center console that’s big enough to store files and even your laptop. The NV Cargo also has an available under-seat slide-out storage tray to give you access to files you need to quickly grab. These kinds of design features allow the Nissan NV Cargo to help you stay on top of the job you need to get done for the day!
