Give Thanks at the CNE Friendsgiving Feast!

Good friends and good food. They’re truly an inimitable pairing, aren’t they? When your belly’s full and the conversation is sparkling, it’s hard not to feel totally grateful. Chive New England understand this fact completely. This year, they’re hoping to share their joy with all their friends in the Whitman, MA, area with the CNE Friendsgiving Feast.

Prepare for Your Tryptophan Overload

  • When: Saturday, November 4, 2017
  • What Time: 1:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
  • Where: VFW, 95 Essex Street, Whitman, MA

If you trace the Thanksgiving holiday back to its origins, you’ll remember that this meal was actually meant to be a potluck. Sure, we know that dad makes the best stuffing and your great aunt serves the best sweet potato casserole, but it’s not really Thanksgiving if you don’t contribute something. At the Friendsgiving Feast, CNE will provide the main dishes. They’ll have a few juicy birds and some main side dishes waiting at the VFW hall. Still, it’s up to you and all the rest of their Whitman area friends to bring the rest of the goodies.

Feasting for a Cause

CNE, otherwise known as the New England Chapter of The Chive, may be affiliated with a website known for dealing in sick memes and wipeout vids. However, their local chapters are famous for a slew of charitable deeds. CNE’s Friendsgiving Feast will be no different. Tickets for the event cost just $10, and then it’s up to attendees to decide if they’d like to spend money at the bar or on the raffle. Enjoying the music and games are still completely free. No matter how much you choose to spend, however, you can rest assured that every bit of those ticket and raffle sales will go towards supporting the VFW. At the end of the day, you’ll be stuffing your face for a great cause.

Consider This Your Thanksgiving Scrimmage
