Bourbon & Bacon Fest Guide

bourbon(c)What says “winter” more than warming up with a glass of bourbon, accompanied by something delicious and salty? Our mouths are watering just thinking about it.

We love anything that allows us to support our local community and enjoy ourselves, as well. The greater Boston area is filled with wonderful festivals year-round, and truly no one knows how to party like a bunch of New Englanders. We’re a hearty people; we work hard, yes, but we know how to play hard, too!

This March, we at Nissan 24 encourage you to attend the Bourbon & Bacon Fest, one of our favorite festivals helping celebrate and support the Boston community. It’s happening on March 11, right here in Boston at The Castle at Park Plaza. Enjoy food and bourbon samplings from some of Boston’s best restaurants, as well as a photo booth, live music, and visits from bourbon experts and chefs alike.

Restaurants in Attendance

baconburger(c)We’re thrilled at how many quality Boston restaurants will be on display at this year’s Bourbon & Bacon Fest. Horseshoe Grille, Jacob Worth, Lulu’s Allston, Lobster Q Seafood & BBQ, and North Country Smokehouse will all be in attendance, plus many more!

Bourbons to Taste

Of course, what would Bourbon & Bacon Fest be without bourbon flowing? There’ll be plenty of bourbon favorites to taste at the 2017 Fest this March, including Calumet Farm, Lexington Bourbon, Bird Dog Whiskey, and Stillhouse America’s Finest.

General admission tickets to the Bourbon & Bacon Fest are $50, which for 10 bourbon tastings and unlimited food samplings is kind of a steal. If you want even more access, with early admission, extra bourbon tastings, VIP area access, and a commemorative t-shirt, you could opt for the VIP ticket, priced at $100. Visit their website and sign up for the newsletter to receive emails and updates whenever appropriate!

What to Expect

As would be expected with any alcohol-related event, the Bourbon & Bacon Fest is for those ages 21 and older. No matter how old you look, you’ll need to present a valid ID to get into the event, even if you already have a ticket.

Your ticket will come with sampling tickets—10 for regular ticket holders and 12 for VIPs—that you’ll use to redeem your included bourbon samples. Trust us, 10 samples are plenty, and you don’t want to over indulge! Luckily, there’s no limit on the food samples, so eat up. And remember to get your tickets early. Last year’s event sold out—don’t be left out in the cold simply because you waited too long!

While you’re out having fun, it’s important to remember to stay safe. We at Nissan 24 must remind you not to drink and drive. It would be best to designate a driver for the event—maybe offer to help pay for their ticket as an added encouragement!
