Spend a bit of your morning catching up with friends and family while cheering on local drum corps, classic cars, and local organizations along the parade route.

For a local fireworks show, pack your blankets and lawn chairs and head to Randolph High School’s baseball field in time to nestle in for a 9:30 pm fireworks display.

As a city with a history of many American firsts, Boston is a fitting place to be on Independence Day. You have two chances to catch the renowned Boston Pops orchestra in action: the rehearsal concert on July 3 or the main event on July 4 followed by a fantastic fireworks display.

Spend your evening enjoying the Pops’ mastery of patriotic favorites followed by watching the night sky light up as colorful fireworks burst over the scenic Charles River.

Edaville USA’s Red, White & Blue Days, 5 Pine Street, Carver, MA 02330

The July 4, 2015, weekend is Red, White & Blue Days at Edaville USA amusement park, and military service members can enjoy free admission (and half-priced admission for their families) on July 4 and 5.

Edaville is located about 30 miles southeast of Brockton and makes a great Fourth of July day trip for those with young children. From classics such as the tilt-a-whirl, carousel, and bumper cars to the Thomas Land theme park where the world of Thomas the Tank Engine comes to life, Edaville is jam-packed with child- and parent-friendly thrills.
