The ASIAF Skating Arena of Brockton is a public ice skating facility managed by the Department of Conservation and Recreation. The ice is well-maintained to provide the people of Brockton, Randolph and Stoughton with a family-friendly activity, perfect for the winter. And at $5 per person and $5 for rental skates, it’s a bargain. ASIAF Skating Arena also offers a snack bar for when you’ve worked up an appetite. The arena is located at 470 Forest Avenue and is easily accessible to people of the surrounding towns.
Joseph J. Zapustas Ice Arena
The Joseph J. Zapustas Ice Arena is the place to be for public ice skating, from 11-12:30pm on Saturdays. This affordable area charges just $3 per person and a pair of rental skates cost $6. If you have your own skates, you may opt to have them sharpened for just $6. The Joseph J. Zapustas Ice Area also hosts birthday parties for up to 25 children, including a party coordinator and a party room for cake and ice cream. Located at 41 South Main Street in Randolph, this skating rink is close to Brockton and Stoughton.
Metropolis Skating Rink
The Metropolis Skating Rink is a public arena is perfect for the family who has their own skates as rentals aren’t available. The 2014-2015 season is from September 10th, 2014 to April 3, 2015, which gives you plenty of time to visit. Public skating is offered during the week and on the weekend. The fee is only $3 for adults and $2 for children. Bring everyone you know for that price! A DJ makes occasional appearances, check schedule on the Metroplis site for exact dates. The arena is also available to rent out for birthday parties, company events and family gatherings. Located at 2167 Washington Street (Route 138) in Canton, MA, Metropolis Skating Rink is just a short drive from Brockton, Randolph and Stoughton.
Canton SportsPlex is a great arena with lots going on! Their Open Family Skate is for parents and kids every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 12pm, from October 15th to March 27th. At Canton SportsPlex you can also rent the ice, learn to skate and participate in other skating programs. You and the family will gain a great deal of experience and knowledge from participating in one of the educational classes. This arena is located at 5 Carver Circle in Canton, accessible from Brockton, Randolph and Stockton.
