Shopping for Nissan vehicles in Boston is a bloodsport. With so many vehicles vying for your attention in the small-sized SUV category, it can be hard to choose. Who will win the fight? Before you buy, it is essential to compare the 2013 Nissan Rogue with two other popular options.
Going head to head with the Nissan Rogue is the Toyota RAV4 and the Honda CR-V. These vehicles are going to offer similar features, so you need to know which SUV is able to perform the best before moving ahead with a purchase.
The sticker price for the Nissan Rogue is $21,155, while the RAV4 is $23,495 and the CR-V is $23,625. If you were to go on price alone you’d find the Nissan Rogue gives you the best option. However, there are more features than just the price you need to take into consideration. All three SUVs have similar fuel capacity, but with the Rogue and RAV4 at 15.9 gallons, the Honda CR-V lags behind with 15.3 gallons. Fuel economy is similar in the three vehicles, but the Honda CR-V comes out slightly on top with 31 miles per gallon on the highway and 23 MPG in the city. The RAV4 has 28 on the highway and 22 in the city while the Rogue has 23 in the city and 28 on the highway.
Safety is very important when looking at a new vehicle. The Nissan Rogue comes with standard anti-lock brakes, anti-theft system and child seat anchors. The RAV4 requires additional payment for the anti-theft system and the CR-V requires you to upgrade the entire model package before you receive the anti-theft system, increasing the price further. All three vehicles come with side/curtain airbags, stability control and traction control as standard options on the SUVs. But shoppers searching Nissan Cars in Boston may want to go with the car that provides a standard Anti-Theft system on all trims.
The three vehicles do offer similar features and options, and although the CR-V does win the MPG battle by a slight amount, the Nissan Rogue has a few additional safety features the other SUVs require you to purchase additionally. The Nissan Rogue is already several thousand dollars cheaper, so paying for more features would just make the price difference that much more extreme.
For anyone who is looking for a new SUV, the Nissan Rogue comes out as the the overall winner. Want a closer look at the 2013 Nissan Rogue? Check in with your local Boston Nissan Dealer today, or check out this video!
